Jebsen & Jessen Technology – Turf & Irrigation division has proudly won the deal to supply the soil conditioners to Sky Greens – the country’s first low carbon, hydraulic driven vertical vegetable farm. Respecting the customer’s commitment to minimising land, water and energy resources, the team recommended Profile® Porous Ceramic (PPC) soil conditioners.

 

Typically used in golf courses, the ceramic particle solution has permanently enhanced root zones for improved germination, increased oxygen levels as well as greater water and nutrient retention. With this experience and expertise, the Turf & Irrigation team was confident that PPC soil conditioners would produce favourable results for Sky Greens. Indeed, joint testing over a six-month period proved that the solution could increase yield from 23% to 56% for the customer!
